Marine Megafauna Conservation

In this episode, we hear from Janis Argeswara, a marine megafauna conservation scientist who has dedicated her life to understanding and protecting these fascinating creatures. Janis works for the Marine Megafauna Foundation, where she leads research projects on manta rays, sea turtles, and microplastic pollution in some of Indonesia’s most renowned marine protected areas. Her work bridges science and conservation by using evidence-based research to inform management decisions and empowering local scientists through training and capacity building.
