Dr. Maximilian Wagner recently finished his joint PhD degree at the University of Graz and Antwerp and is currently working as a PostDoc at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Rijeka. His research mainly focuses on the evolution and ecology of intertidal organisms, especially in Mediterranean gravel beach environments. In his PhD project, he aims to illuminate the underlying genomic and ecological drivers that shaped the diversification of the cryptobenthic clingfish genus Gouania. Lets dive into the world of gravel beaches and get to know more about the fascinating life in these habitats.
